You can see it pushing up. Does the tsch have the edge braces. Hoods are prone to bending at the fender edges. Oil helps, but does not cure the issue. Replacement of the hinges usually is the best option, but it is possible to tighten up the rivets in the hinges by using a hydraulic press to tighten them up.

You don't want to overdo the hydraulic force though, or the hinge won't move at all. Yes, the "hood savers" help, but doesn't cover the root cause of the hood bending. Eventually, the binding hinges will overcome even the "hood savers", and the hood will bend. This alone causes a lot of it also. Think about how the hood closes, it goes back and down in an arc.

But the bracket is shot i think cant seem to line it up right at all Running a lil high in the RPM running at at idle will bump gook down tomorrow to about tach hook up chevy so and see if the motor likes it.

Also hooked up my temp guage that was very easy also. Hard part was tach hook up chevy thru the birds nest of wires to hook it up. Under the dash looks like a bird was trying to make a nest of wires lol.

Going to have to clean that up one day soon. Now that all my guages work except for my speedometer when doing about 50 is says 30 lol. Need a diffrent gear at the end of it. I am also trying to hook up a factory tach to a Blazer tach hook up chevy it has a 77 engine with an HEI distributor. There are two wires coming off the tach connector, the red one goes to the fuse box and the black one goes thru the firewall and is laying there unconnected.

Thanks for the help, nice picture. You hook the wire coming off the tach to your tachometer in your truck. Tachometers usually come with 4 wires. An in-dash tachometer will have been integrated with a dash light so that wire will be missing, it USUALLY has a ground if it doesn't you have to make sure it has oneand it probably already has a battery supply to the gauge if it doesn't you will have to figure that out.

The sender wire is what you will normally have to supply to an in-dash tachometer yp make it work. Worked well for two years and then stopped working one day.
